Cool Off With the Basil Lemonade at Little Food Studio
Need a new coffee shop to get your morning caffeine fix or your lunch on the go? Little Food Studio is serving up big flavors on their grab-and-go menu on Upshur Street NW. This sweet little cafe is locally owned by a chef who decided it was finally time to go out on her own and start her dream shop where everyone can feel comfortable coming to grab a beverage or a bite on their way to wherever life may lead them.
For beverages, you can grab everything from bold drip coffee to a basil or mint lemonade and just about everything in between. If hunger strikes, they have different offers depending on the time of day. In the morning, grab a freshly baked scone like the balsamic tart cherry with blood orange, or a pork sausage roll. If you stop by on the weekends you can taste their delicious heirloom egg bake or the almond mascarpone danish that only appear on the weekend mornings. At lunch, grab a sandwich served on local focaccia bread. A quick favorite is the Ellen which combines turkey breast, crispy prosciutto, pesto, tomato, and arugula. Vegetarians love the Nichelle which features marinated eggplant, basil, mozzarella, and tomato cream.
