D.C. Central Kitchen Is Moving to RiverPoint
As a resident of RiverPoint, you already know that our community is unique in that it’s not strictly apartments. There’s also a sprawling retail space—and, come spring of 2022, some of that space will be occupied by D.C. Central Kitchen! The nonprofit has been doing good work for more than three decades, and the new location will simplify the process.
D.C. Central Kitchen provides culinary training to those experiencing barriers to employment, while at the same time dishing out meals for those in need. In the current times, food insecurity is more rampant than ever in D.C.—which is what makes their work extra important right now. In this new, larger location, they’ll be able to bring their programs all under one roof for a more seamless collaboration! And as an added bonus, RiverPoint will be getting a new cafe staffed by the trainees and volunteers.
